Introduction

This guide outlines the scoring structure and usage of the Descriptive Content Quality Score in our content management platform. It helps understanding how content completeness and relevance are assessed across different properties, languages, and content categories.

What is the Descriptive Content Quality Score?

The Descriptive Content Quality Score is a numeric value from 1 to 10 that reflects the completeness and quality of descriptive content fields such as property name, description, amenities, policies, and more, which helps distributors assess whether content is ready for distribution.

Score Structure and Hierarchy

The scoring system includes multiple levels:

  • Property-level: Aggregated score per property, combining category completeness and relevance
  • Context-level: Aggregated score across all properties under a context

Score Scale and Language

  • All scores range from 1 to 10
  • Scores are language-specific
    1. Example: A property might have a score of 8.0 for EN-US but only 3.5 for ZH-CN
  • Currently only English (EN) is scored; other languages are planned

Score differences may exist between languages for the same property depending on content completeness and relevance.
